For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them. - Matthew 18:20

Connecting through fellowship, with each other, and with Jesus Christ is part of everyday practice at Somerset Church of the Brethren. Fellowship activities include:

  • Men's Fellowship
Men’s Fellowship meets monthly at the church (except when they meet at a local restaurant for breakfast) the last Sunday of each month at 7:30 a.m. They meet for fellowship, fun, fundraising projects and other projects to support both the church and the community. Their biggest fundraising project is their bi-annual Chicken BBQ held at the church in the spring and fall.
  • Connect Kids
Group for children in grades 1 - 5. The group meets the last Sunday of the month following morning worship during the school year. Connect Kids enjoy various activities, Bible learning, crafts, fellowship and meals.
  • Connect Youth
Group for youth/teenagers in grades 6 - 12. The group meets the second Sunday of the month following worship during the school year. Connect Youth enjoy activities, Bible lessons, fun, fellowship, and food. Projects include: soup and salad meals following worship once a month, Sweetheart Dinner for Valentine’s Day, sporting events, Camp Harmony for fun and sports and lots more.
  • Quilters & Knotters
We are very fortunate to have a great group of ladies who are interested in quilting. They make various quilts for helping out those in need; meeting weekly on Mondays at 9 a.m. Many of their quilts have also been sold at the Auction at the Brethren Heritage Festival held yearly at Camp Harmony in Hooversville; and also for the Western PA District Annual Auction also held at Camp Harmony, Hooversville. In 2013, they made quilts that were given away by drawing (a free drawing) at the Somerset Church of the Brethren booth at the Somerset County Fair.
  • Fitness Ministry
This is not just an aerobics/sculpt class---it is a ministry! This ministry is led by Certified Instructor Crystal Reiber. Any fitness level can participate. Our current oldest member is 94, with youngest being young children and grandchildren. Everyone does their workout at their level. It is not fast paced – or a jump around class. You will incorporate hand weights, resistance tubing, a play ball and using your own weight. The workout is designed for strength, mobility and flexibility. The mind receives a workout too; we end in sharing and prayer. Come join us for a safe, fun workout. Dress comfortably, wearing tennis shoes and BRING WATER. All the equipment is provided. Please see theChurch Calendaror contact the church office for meeting times.
